How to stop application shortcut icons on your android device home screen ?
In general Google allows applications to automatically add shortcuts to your device's home screen on successful installation.
So, here is a tip for you to override this default behavior:
1. Go to 'Play Store' or 'Google Play' settings pane
2. Unselect the 'auto-add shortcuts' option
